The Spotted Wing Drosophila Genome Project is based out of the laboratories of Joanna Chiu, David Begun, and Frank Zalom at the University of California, Davis, in close collaboration with Vaughn Walton and Linda Brewer at Oregon State University. This portal is part of a collaborative Spotted Wing Drosophila Project that is primarily funded by USDA-NIFA SCRI Competitive Research Grant Number 2010-51181-21167.
Our research team has expertise in entomology, horticulture, genomics, farming, pest management consulting, environmental issues, agricultural production, economics, social sciences, extension, and policy-making, and is represented by researchers from UC Davis, Oregon State University, UC Berkeley, UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, Washington State University, USDA-ARS Corvallis OR and Peerbolt Crop Management, Portland OR.
